A leader in providing environmentally solutions, in 2009 IPR was ranked No.4 on the Crain's list of largest Environmental Companies for best practices in green technology, including our non-invasive Expanda spiral-wound lining technology, which rehabilitates existing pipes from above ground without releasing harmful chemicals into the environment. IPR's dedication to excellence was recently recognized when the company received the prestigious INC Award.
The innovative trenchless pipe rehabilitation methodologies provided by IPR are more cost-effective and less intrusive than traditional open cut pipeline repairs. Trenchless rehabilitation technologies allow for the completion of underground repair or replacement projects with minimal disruption to surface traffic, nearby homes and businesses, or environmentally sensitive areas. Industrial infrastructure repairs and maintenance require many of the same skill sets and capabilities that IPR uses in its municipal end market. Currently, IPR is working with several large industrial companies, including oil and pharmaceutical organizations. In addition, IPR has expanded its efforts into the Department of Transportation sector where our technologies and expertise are being put to work in the area of highway repair.
